Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and is the most effective martial art in the world.

Unlike any other martial art, in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu it can take up to between 10 and 15 years to earn a black belt and so, this is considered to be an incredible achievement. Falkie BJJ was founded by father and son Black Belt’s Darren “Daz” Falkingham and Oliver “Oli” Falkingham. With nearly 25 years combined experience of competing at the highest level in Europe, along with learning from some of the best competitors and instructors in the sport, Darren and Oliver continue to refine their style, passing on their depth of knowledge to their members and the next generation.

Falkie BJJ consists of 2 gyms with the HQ based in Preston City Centre and a second location in Leyland run by Head Coach, Black Belt, Lawrence “Loz” Dutton.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is not only about training and keeping fit, but is a great sport to socialise, make friends and build confidence, along with having a hugely positive effect on an individuals mental health which we have seen first hand through a number of our members, including military and emergency service veterans. The club has a wide variety of day time and evening classes to suit everyone.
